And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment; so that you may approve what is excellent, and be pure and blameless for the day of Christ. Philippians 1:9-10

Such a powerful verse.

It is impossible for us to discern what is excellent and pure without the love of Christ. It is impossible to possess knowledge and discernment without the love of Christ. It is impossible to be holy, to be pure and righteous before God without the love of Christ. It is impossible to do anything without the love of Christ. I am convicted by this. I am convicted by Paul’s exhortation to the Body of Christ. Are you?

Abounding.  Overflowing. Enough to pour out for the good of others and for the glory of God.

Paul understood that there is no such thing as loving God and His Son Jesus Christ too much. Christ is our hope. Christ is our joy. Christ is our peace. Christ is our life, our breath, our survival.

Without Christ, we can do nothing. We have nothing. And we are nothing.

Christ is everything.

How are you abounding in the love of Christ more and more as the days pass? If He is indeed everything to YOU, how are you showing His infinite value to those around you?
