Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you; Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:3-9
If there was ever a pivotal time where my faith, patience, and ALL of the virtues that make up a true Christian would be tested to the max, this…is the time. I’d like to think that God rarely tests us to the max in comfort; He tests us in the most uncomfortable of situations.
How strong is your faith? How deep is your love? He’ll test you to purify you. To prove its authenticity.
Our suffering, our hardship, our adversity in this life is what shapes us and prepares us for the Kingdom of Heaven. What suffering are you sharing with Christ for the sake of the Gospel?
Though it may get tough at times…though what you are enduring for the Gospel may be painful, you are a conqueror. And you are eternally secure in Christ Jesus because God the Father is eternally faithful. Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of Christ. We are sealed, preserved, healed by the power of the Cross, and redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
Our inheritance in Christ is incorruptible, undefiled, unfading, kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, and reserved in Heaven for us. So keep pressing, beautiful soul. Keep teaching, keep preaching, keep living, keep loving.
Love is a lifestyle. Jesus lived it, and He’s still living it.
And so should we. Don’t you ever forget it.
