The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. -Jesus, John 10:10 ESV
Poetic Justice was and is a masterpiece, and will impact many for years to come, but Poetic Justice is not bigger than life. It is not bigger than love. It is only a fraction of the work that God has done and is doing in our lives and in the lives of others. And, as a result, Love Is A Lifestyle (as of May 24, 2019) has transitioned from a 7-year faithful and fruitful ministry to a business! -Love Is A Lifestyle
God is so good! I thank the Lord for each one of His blessings. I thank the Lord for each one of His gifts. Motherhood is a gift; motherhood is a blessing, and I am happy to say that overall, pregnancy the second time around is going really well. I’m resting more often, I’m taking care of myself and my babies, and I am balancing both motherhood, home life, and work life. Writing is my work, and my babies don’t really like me working much. Lol. And, both my babies and their father compete for my time, attention, and affection – which I think is the cutest thing ever. However, I’m a creative, and I must create! It’s my passion.
I am approximately 16 weeks, and I can feel my babies’ heartbeats! At 12-13 weeks, I could feel them kicking and moving – making room for each other. Now, they’re expanding my body and my (soft) belly! Growth is beautiful! Last week, I experienced pregnancy cramps, hot flashes, but right now, I and my babies are good. I have not had nausea other than the overheated cheese I had in my French Onion Soup from Panera before I knew I was with child(ren). Not Panera’s fault; my babies are high maintenance just like I am. Lol. That (the nausea) was short-lived, thank God.
My babies are currently eating things like Vanilla Yogurt, Bananas, Pepper Jack Cheese (my favorite), Tuna (in water, 12 ounces a week) and Crackers, Gluten-free Tortilla Chips, Hummus, Baby Carrots. They eat like I do now, but every once in a while, my son wants junk food like the Twizzler Bites I mentioned in one of my previous post and Snickers with Almonds. We’re laying low on the Smoothies right now – my babies like whole fruit that hasn’t been mashed up and mixed in a blender.
I’m drinking WAY more water (than usual), and I believe that this has been integral to their healthy growth! (And I tinkle alot because of it. Lol.)
As a Ghanaian, Asian, Indian, and Caucasian (and the mother of children with mixed blood), I still wash my hair every 3-4 days. Still no special product, and coconut oil on my hair just dries my hair out quicker. It does make it grow, however. Catch 22!
Right now, I am still using Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil on my face. On days that I’m tired, my eyes make me look super stressed. I’d like to think that my babies have stolen most of my beauty. Lol. I look more matronly now, which I wasn’t quite read for, but am now welcoming. I tried a Vitamin E Oil with 40,000 I.U. versus the original 52,000 I.U. For the most part, they work the same. The 40,000 I.U. has a thinner texture, but overall, it still gives me the same natural mommy glow! The new Rose Hip Oil Lip gloss I tried is working great.
I recently went to receive another eye checkup, and discovered part of the reason to my eye troubles. We are praying to God for complete eye, skin, face, body health!
My babies and I are watching things like Daniel Tiger, Arthur, Let’s Go Luna, Annie, a KKK Documentary, etc. They absolutely loved Annie (with Jamie Foxx)! I would like to think that my babies are musically and cinematically inclined! A new playlist is coming as a result (it’s been two and a half months)! As always, I recommend you listen to the playlist before your children listen to it, but as a creative, I will allow my children to listen to whatever kind of music they desire to listen to in the future. I will not stifle their personality or their gifts.
For those of you who love music and are interested in listening to this playlist and others I’ve created, you will need to access the new playlist through my Spotify account under osugrad2005. I will post the most recent song list here. I love a great beat, and this new playlist is a homage to new (and old) artists, and great producers and great beat makers. You matter!
