In early January of 2019, I wrote about the sin of jealousy, envy, and covetousness, as well as the love of money – which is the root of all evil. What I’ve seen in my life for years and years is the sin of jealousy, envy, covetousness, maliciousness, and idolatry. The theft of my intellectual property; the theft of my words and writing; the (mockery) of my gifts; the theft of my God-given blessings because they would rather see someone else in that position. The theft hasn’t completely stopped (at least not yet), but God has given me a different strategy. I am devoting my life to this new strategy. One different scripture verse (other than the ones mentioned in the blog title that I would like to point out):
Exodus 23:1-3 says:
You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness. You shall not fall in with the enemy to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice.
As an honorary lawyer without an official degree, this is what I’ve learned from great lawyers:
1) They are brutally honest, sometimes cut-throat.
2) They only debate in the courtroom (and if it is dealing with a case).
3) Their words and facial expressions can be very piercing and striking.
4) They get straight to the point.
5) They are (or can be) very nice nasty.
I meet all of the above.
