Love Is A Lifestyle

Invite

Love Is A Lifestyle is a ministry that God and Porsche R. Armstrong began initially as encouragement and exhortation to all believers. Her exhortation was this: That our lives speak louder than anything we can say as it relates to Christianity and glorifying our Savior Jesus Christ. The world will come to know the love of Jesus Christ by the love that we embody and the lives that we live; our lifestyle (John 13:35). The key verses for the ministry are: Mark 12:30-31, Ephesians 4:14-15, 1 John 4:9, and John 3:16. Our vision and mission is also outlined on this page. We invite you to come join us as we seek to love God with all of our hearts and change the world for His sake!

Love Is A Lifestyle is your source for all things love – aside from God and His Word of course! It is a way for Christians and everyone around the world to connect with each other and edify one another; to discuss religion, sound doctrine, and theology; and to be reminded of God’s perfect love, His faithfulness, His commitment, and His devotion encouraging one another to share His goodness and preach the Gospel to all nations. It all started with love. God is love.

Love that is born of God goes beyond our human finite ability; beyond our natural capacity. It taps into the supernatural power source: God.

The Journey To Love

God wants nothing more than for His creation to be united with Him forever. Sin separated us from the love of God, but He loved us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the price for our sins and to give us eternal life. The Christian journey to love is undoubtedly amazing; but sometimes the road to discovery can be tough. Some of us have gone through very pain-staking circumstances that have brought us to our knees, crying out to God and begging for relief. Others have suffered a loss financially, physically, spiritually, or mentally – and found ourselves with no one to turn to but God. Some of us have been graced not to have had such dramatic experiences that led us to Christ, but our story of redemption is still amazing nonetheless. Every single soul that has been saved by the grace through faith through the power of the Holy Spirit and God’s quickening of heart, soul, and mind to His truth (along with repentance of sin) is a blessing from God. Our journeys may differ, but our God does not. And the end result is the same – eternal life.

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

The journey to love is a continual, never-ending journey. God is consistently transforming us into His image, and perfecting us for His good work. Once we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, it is just the beginning. Romans 12:1-2 says:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Upon receiving salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ, we leave our old lives behind and walk in newness. We are required to live a life of pure love, selflessness, and sacrifice. 1 Peter 4:1-2 says: Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. Furthermore, a life with Christ is certainly not a life devoid of trials and tribulations; in fact, it is quite the opposite. God’s Word says in 2 Corinthians 4:17: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Our affliction and suffering on earth is light compared to the eternal weight of glory, where we will be joined forever with God and Christ.

Our Vision at Love Is A Lifestyle:

Love Is A Lifestyle was birthed out of a sincere yearning and desire for all things God: To know and discover more of our Father God and His character, to diligently and consistently seek His truth, to experience the love and deepen our understanding of the sacrifice of God’s Son and our Savior Jesus Christ – in an unparalleled way – and to know what it means to become this type of love to the world and express this love in our daily lives and interactions. Christ’s love personified is our greatest gift to each other and to the world. If we have not come to the knowledge of what His love looks like, it is impossible for us to effectively express this love to others. This is our mission – to encourage one another to seek love from the source of love – God. To discover what real love is, then make it a lifestyle. Love is a lifestyle. Christianity is a lifestyle. The time for us to unite and live in love as God commands us to is NOW.

Our Mission at Love Is A Lifestyle:

Our ultimate mission is to share the love of God and Jesus Christ to the world. There are several ways we will do this within the Love Is a Lifestyle ministry:

We will remind each other about Christ’s love and the significance of the cross – which is the foundation of our very existence.

We will continue to keep our message Gospel-centered. There is nothing to preach without the Gospel and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We will love God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds. This is the first and greatest commandment (Mark 12:30).

We will commit to loving one another, and encourage one another to love as God commands to us in Mark 12:31.

We will share our thoughts about real love through email blasts, seminars and workshops, videos, books, blog posts, and other resources – and we will include you in the interaction.

We will provide additional resources to help you on your journey to love and developing a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

We will encourage each other to become love in our lifestyles (relationships, marriages, ministry, workplace, evangelism, discipleship, body of Christ) so that we can be better equipped to change the world.

We will support you in all of your love endeavors by keeping it fresh and biblical, always providing valuable information catered to the needs of our supporters and the unreached.

We will listen to our supporters and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and consider ways that we can further effect change; we will listen to God first and foremost.

We will share the goodness of the Lord, evangelize to others, and spread the good news of Jesus Christ through unconventional means.

Our mission is also your mission. Keep it in your heart. Join us on the journey! If you are interested in being a guest blogger or assisting with future workshops and seminars, please contact us! Stay posted on what we are up to by subscribing to our email list!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Greater love has no man that this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do what I command. John 15:13-14
